Bertani Amarone Classico 2011 1.5 Litre - Valpolicella, Italy
Bertani winery founded in 1857 by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani, can count today on over 200 hectares of vineyards located in the best areas of Valpantena and in Arbizzano di Negrar, Valpolicella Classica. Amarone Classico Bertani is produced only in exceptional years in limited quantity. Corvina and Rondinella grapes are hand harvested around middle of September and left to dry on arèle (traditional bamboo cane racks) for 120 days, using only a natural ancient method. Only 252 magnums of the 2011 vintage were produced.

2011 has been accoladed with 3 Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso, 97 points | James Suckling and is between the 100 top Wines of Italy by JS.
