The Chateau La Sauvageonne property is a daughter of fire, in the image of the dreams of the former owner, with a fiery temperament, who developed this estate. The climate has an extreme character, with sunny days and nights cooled by the altitude (150-350 metres) and the fresh air currents of the Larzac. The landscapes are marked by the seal of schist and volcanic land (Ruffes), emblematic of the appellation close to the Lac du Salagou, a tribute to human genius, an ode to beauty and biodiversity.

The Chateau de La Soujeole Estate
When, in 1740, one of the sons of the lordship of Montclar bought the Soujeole, he paved the way for nine generations of owners. The estate is located in an ecological entity of great richness, known to botanists. The last direct descendant of the family, Monseigneur Bertrand de la Soujeole, rector of the Saint-Nazaire Basilica in Carcassonne, passed on the keys of the estate to Gérard Bertrand, who invested in the vineyards and the winery in order to reveal the quintessence of this unique terroir.
