Bodegas Norton was founded in 1895 in the Mendoza region of western Argentina. The estate was bought by the Swarovski family in 1989 and spans 680 hectares. Norton cultivates vineyards across five distinct sites. The heat is moderated by the high altitude, helping to retain freshness in the wines. The Altura range of wines come from the premium Luján de Cuyo DOC where vines range from 30 to 80 years old. Here, carefully, hand selected grapes are picked for the limited edition Altura wines. Winemaking is carried out by the acclaimed David Bonomi and has achieved high scores.
