Marquês de Borba Reserva 2015 1.5 Litre - Alentejo, Portugal
João Portugal Ramos is undoubtedly one of Portugal's most celebrated winemakers and his wine estates are amongst the country's most progressive- leading the way in sustainable production practices.
First produced in 1997, Marquês de Borba is one of JP Ramos' most iconic wines, combining the traditions of the Alentejo region with impeccable winemaking techniques. The 2015 vintage produced powerful and ageworthy wines and this blend of indigenous grape varieties, with a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon, has the ability to develop for another decade at least.
The wine's name comes from the happy coincidence of João Portugal Ramos’ vineyards and winery being located in the Borba sub-region, and also the fact one of his uncles holds the noble title Marquês de Borba.
