Château Mont-Redon is one of the oldest estates in the prestigious Southern Rhône Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, with vines recorded on the site since Roman times. In 1923 the estate was bought by Henri Plantin, who had the vision of joining up the scattered 2.5ha plots by cultivating the rocky plateaus on the estate. Over the succeeding four generations, Château Mont-Redon has expanded to over 100ha, to become the biggest landowner in the appellation.

The estate boasts some of the best terroir in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and their Le Plateau wine comes from the very best. The vines are 80-100 years old and produce a tiny quantity of beautifully concentrated grapes. Le Plateau is only made in the very best years and 2016 proved an exceptional vintage. This is a wine that has the capacity to age gracefully for many years to come.
