Taurasi Pago dei Fusi Vintages 2007 - 2009 in wooden box - Italy
Terredora is an Italian wine producer based in Campania. The estate was first established in 1978 by the Mastroberardino family and subsequently divided between brothers Antonio and Walter Mastroberardino in 1993. A year later, Walter Mastroberardino founded the current incarnation of the family business, naming the estate Terredora Di Paolo after his wife. The Campore Taurasi is only made in the best vintage years.
Grapes are carefully selected, hand-picked Aglianico grapes from Terredora's own Pietradefusi vineyard. Aged 24 months in French oak barrels before resting in bottle for over 2 years, resulting in a simply stunning wine. Deep ruby coloured with a wonderful aroma of ample ripe cherries, sweet spices, plum, tobacco, pepper and tar. Supple and silky on the palate, with concentrated texture and a rich and ripe body. Sweet and fine tannins, long fruity, spiced and toasty finish. Excellent cellaring potential, with bottle age adding to the wine’s complexity.
These wines scored an average of 91/100 from many noteable critics.
Generously donated by the Mastroberardino family
